Larne Motor Club’s usual event line up has a slight change in 2020, but the opening event once again is the fundraising all forward Autotest. The Larne club first launched this event in 2019 to aid the Harbour Bears Pre-School building fund. This year the club decided to support the Snowdrop Room and Bereavement Midwives at the Royal Victoria Hospital Maternity Unit. Funds raised will go towards equipment for the Snowdrop Room, a room where parents of still born babies have time and privacy to spend as a family.
This year the fundraising event is already living up to expectations and a target of £3000 is already within reach. A fantastic achievement and a great start to the season.
The two main changes to the usual line up for Larne Motor Club are two championship events which arrive earlier in the year. The first change sees the McMillan Specialist Cars N.I Autotest Championship move from it’s usual August date to the first weekend in April. The event will return to the Transport Training Services in Nutts Corner.
The other main date change is the round of the S.W.Adair N.I Sprint Championship where the hosts once again take the event to Kirkistown also earlier than the usual September date.
Larne Motor Club members look forward to another successful year in organising local motorsport events and welcomes anyone who would like to become involved.
